Father Phil Feltman has been Pastor of St. Mary’s Parish since July 1991.

Father Douglas Garand has been the Associate Pastor of St. Mary’s
Parish since July 2004. His responsibilities include
presiding over the Eucharist, teaching, preaching,
absolving sin, and striving each day to help the people
of St. Mary’s follow Jesus Christ.
Fr. Doug is also the Chaplain of St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School. Fr. Doug has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Toledo. In 2001, he completed his studies at St. Meinrad Seminary in southern Indiana and was ordained a priest by the late Bishop James R. Hoffman. He was Associate Pastor of St. Wendelin in Fostoria from 2001-2004.

| Father Dave Nuss returns to St. Mary’s Parish where he first was assigned as a newly ordained priest in 1993. Originally from Wisconsin, he is a graduate of Marquette University (1988), Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary (1993) and The Catholic University of America (2000). He also has served as a priest in the Archdiocese of Washington (DC) and the Archdiocese of Cologne (Germany).
In addition to sharing priestly duties in our parish, he is excited to be involved again at St. Mary Central Catholic High School and continues to serve as the diocesan CYO chaplain.

Deacon Jeff Claar has been the Business Manager of St. Mary’s Parish since 1995. He was ordained to the Order of Deacon in May 2006. Deacon Jeff’s ministry responsibilities include Parish administration, Parish Outreach, assisting at Masses, preaching, teaching, and marriage and baptism preparation. He presides over or participates in ecclesial events such as weddings, baptisms, funerals, vigil services, Rite of Commital, Reposition, Benediction, Stations, Novenas, ministry training and several PSR sponsored activities. He is also the Director of the Catholic Cemeteries of Sandusky.
Deacon Jeff and his wife Debbie (Veith) were married in 1982. They are the parents of two adult children.

Bill Burch has been a member of St. Mary’s
Parish since birth. He was ordained to the Order
of Deacon in May 2003. Deacon Bill’s ministry
responsibilities include Parish Outreach, assisting
at Masses, preaching, and marriage and baptism preparation.
He presides over or participates in ecclesial events
such as weddings, baptisms, funerals, vigil services,
Rite of Commital, Reposition, Benediction, Stations,
Novenas, ministry training and several PSR sponsored
activities. He also administers the parish ministry
schedule.
He married Mary Jeane (Hiss) in October
of 1985. Together they have 7 children and 7 grandchildren.

| Timothy L. Claubaugh, Sr. became Organist/Music Director at St. Mary’s
Parish in August 1982. His responsibilities include
planning and playing music for all Masses, weddings
and funerals. He also oversees the music program including
parish choirs and cantors.
Tim began piano studies at the early age of 5 and organ studies at the age of 13. He played trombone in the Sandusky High School band, violin in the SHS orchestra and sang bass in the SHS A Cappella Choir. He is a 1982 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree. He is married to Anita (Hartleib) and they have 6 grown children and 4 grandchildren.

| Heather Gerber has been a member of St. Mary’s Parish since December 1995. As Contemporary Choir Director, her responsibilities include selecting music, conducting weekly choir rehearsals and directing the choir during 11:30 a.m. Sunday liturgies. She also accompanies and cantors at other weekend and daily Masses. She is the Director of the Youth Choir which sings during the 5:00 p.m. Mass monthly at St. Mary’s Parish.
Heather and her husband, John, have been married since July, 1998. They have a “very spoiled” Maltese named Sophie. Heather is also the Executive Director of Development for Sandusky Central Catholic School. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching piano and guitar.

| Debbie Geason has
been involved in Religious Education at St. Mary's Parish since July 1997. As
Catechetical Leader her responsibilities include sacramental preparation
for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. She also oversees the Parish
School of Religion (PSR), Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLW), Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) and Good Shepherd (GS) programs.
Debbie is a Good Shepherd Catechist, volunteer church cleaner, Mass Coordinator, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and Lector.
Debbie and her husband, Alan, have been married since May, 1982, and have 2 grown children, Angie and Alan.

| Sara Fitzgerald has been with the Sandusky Catholic Community since July 2006. As the Director of Adventures in Faith she collaborates with all three parishes in enabling everyone to learn and live their faith lifelong.
Sara previously taught junior high religion and Science at St. Paul School in Norwalk.

| Mary Riesterer has been the Secretary of St. Mary’s Parish since November 1985. Her responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the Parish Office.
Mary has two adult children and a precious beagle, Chloe, rescued from the dog pound who keeps her busy at home.

| Ruth Guendelsberger has been the Bookkeeper of St. Mary’s Parish since September 1987.
She has an Associate Degree in Accounting, and worked for a local CPA firm from 1969-1987. Ruth also enjoys singing in the parish choirs and helping with the flower gardening around the church grounds.

Mark Fitzthum, Property Manager/Maintenance, has been with the parish since August 1996.
He is responsible for maintaining the Church, rectory, convent and rental properties and supervising major projects at St. Mary's Parish. He is also a member of the Building and Grounds committee and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

| Jason Kahle was Seminarian Intern of St. Mary's Parish from September 2006 - September 2007.
Jason enrolled in Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary of the West in fall of 2003. Previous internships include St. Joseph, Ft. Jennings, OH; Immaculate Conception, Ottoville, OH; St. Mary’s – Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Defiance, OH; and Clinical Pastoral Education at Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH. Jason plans to be ordained a Transitional Deacon in April 2008 and a Priest for the Diocese of Toledo in June 2009.
