Father Joe Steinbauer

Father Joe SteinbauerFather Joe Steinbauer was ordained to the priesthood in 1979, and has served as Pastor of Little Flower Parish from 2003-June, 2012. He is the second of seven children in the family and his early days were spent working on the farm in Clyde, Ohio. He attended high school at Holy Spirit Seminary in Toledo and spent his years of college and theology at The Pontifical College Josephinum in Worthington, Ohio.

After being ordained he put an emphasis on the youth work at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns. After a sojourn in Washington, D.C. he earned a history degree at Catholic University, in 1985 he was the campus chaplain at Bowling Green University. In 1990 he was appointed pastor of what is now All Saints Parish in Rossford, Ohio.

Father Michael P. Roemmele

Fr. Michael P. RoemmeleFather Michael P. Roemmele, whose home parish is St. Rose of Lima in Perrysburg, attended Toledo’s Central Catholic High School and entered the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus directly after high school and later studied at Mount Saint Mary Seminary of the West in Cincinnati. His pastoral internship was spent at Delphos, St. John and summer assignments included All Saints Parish, New Riegel; The Catholic Club and Historic St. Patrick parish in Toledo; St. John Parish, Delphos, and Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Sandusky. Fr. Michael’s first priestly assignment was as the Associate Pastor of Saint Mary Parish, Tiffin / Saint Pius X Parish, Sycamore, and chaplain to Tiffin Calvert School.

Father Matthew Frisbee

FrisbeeFr. Matthew Frisbee was ordained to the priesthood on May 31, 2014.  He attended Central Catholic High School in Toledo.  He attended St. Joseph College Seminary in Chicago after graduating from high school.  He later studied at Mount St. Mary Seminary of the West in Cincinnati.  He has a younger sister and two younger brothers.  Growing up first in Perrysburg, his home parish was St. Rose in Perrysburg, but when his family moved to Rossford, All Saints in Rossford later became his home parish.  His pastoral internship as a seminarian was spent at Divine Mercy Parish in Paulding County.  Fr. Matt’s first assignment is here as Associate Pastor at St. Mary’s, Holy Angels, and Sts. Peter and Paul.

Deacon Jeff Claar

Deacon Jeff ClaarDeacon Jeff Claar has been the Business Manager of St. Mary’s Parish since 1995. He was ordained to the Order of Deacon in May 2006. Deacon Jeff’s ministry responsibilities include Parish administration, assisting at Masses, preaching, teaching, annulments, and marriage and baptism preparation. He presides over or participates in ecclesial events such as weddings, baptisms, funerals, vigil services, Rite of Committal, Reposition, Benediction, Stations, Novenas, ministry training and several Religious Education sponsored activities. Deacon Jeff is also the Director of the Catholic Cemeteries of Sandusky.

Deacon Jeff and his wife Debbie (Veith) were married in 1982. They are the parents of two adult children.

Deacon Bill Burch

Deacon Bill Burch

Deacon Bill Burch has been a member of St. Mary’s Parish since birth. He married Mary Jeane (Hiss) in October of 1985. He was ordained to the Order of Deacon in May 2003. Deacon Bill’s ministry responsibilities include preaching, assisting at Masses, and Marriage preparation.

He presides over  Ecclesial events such as weddings, baptisms, funerals, vigil services, Rite of Committal, Benediction, Reposition, Stations of the Cross, and ministry training for Mass Coordinators, Altar Servers, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

In July of 2012 he was reassigned to also serve Holy Angel’s and Sts. Peter & Paul Parishes.

Timothy L. Claubaugh, Sr.

Timothy L. Claubaugh, Sr.Timothy L. Claubaugh, Sr. became Organist/Music Director at St. Mary’s Parish in August 1982. His responsibilities include planning and playing music for all Masses, weddings and funerals. He also oversees the music program including parish choirs and cantors.

Tim began piano studies at the early age of five and organ studies at the age of 13. He played trombone in the Sandusky High School band, violin in the SHS orchestra and sang bass in the SHS A Cappella Choir. He is a 1982 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree. He is married to Anita (Hartleib) and they have six adult children and eight grandchildren.

Heather Gerber

Heather GerberHeather Gerber has been a member of St. Mary’s Parish since December 1995. As Contemporary Choir Director, she is responsible for the music at the11:30 a.m. Mass from October-June.  The Contemporary Choir is always open to new members – contact Heather for more information.

Heather has also served as Music Director for Sandusky Life Teen since the Fall of 2008.  Life Teen Masses are held every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Church.  Don’t let the name fool you – the Life Teen Mass is for everyone!!

In August of 2013 Heather became the Director of Campus Ministry for Sandusky Central Catholic School.

“My fervent prayer is that everything I do – whether at St. Mary’s, Sandusky Life Teen or SCCS – will help others to grow closer to Christ.”

Heather and her husband, John, have been married since July, 1998. They have a “very spoiled” Maltese named Sophie.

Debbie Geason

Debbie GeasonDebbie Geason has been involved in Religious Education at St. Mary’s Parish since July 1997. As Catechetical Leader, her responsibilities include sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. She also oversees the Parish School of Religion (PSR), Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLW), Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) and Good Shepherd (GS) programs.

Debbie is a Good Shepherd Catechist, Mass Coordinator, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and Lector. Debbie and her husband, Alan, have been married since May, 1982, and have two grown children, Angie and Alan, and two grandchildren, Ethan and Leah.

Brittany Taylor

Brittany TaylorBrittany Taylor believes with her whole heart in the Life Teen mission of “Leading Teens Closer to Christ.” She grew up in a Life Teen program and is incredibly excited about bringing her love of the Catholic Faith and her experience of Life Teen to the teens of Sandusky. As Executive Director, she is looking forward to watching as the Holy Spirit continues to move within the Sandusky Life Teen (SLT) program.

Kathy DiVita

Divita_001Kathy DiVita is the Administrative Assistant for the Sandusky Catholic Parishes and a life-long member of St. Mary’s Parish. Kathy’s responsibilities include assisting the Pastor and clergy.  She also sets up weddings for the Sandusky Catholic Parishes.

Ruth Guendelsberger

ruthRuth Guendelsberger has been the Bookkeeper of St. Mary’s Parish since September 1987.  She has an Associate Degree in Accounting, and worked for a local CPA firm from 1969-1987. Ruth also enjoys singing in the parish choirs and helping with the flower gardening around the church grounds.

Mark Fitzthum

00016webMark Fitzthum, Property Manager/Maintenance, has been with the parish since August 1996. He is responsible for maintaining the Church, rectory, convent and rental properties and supervising major projects at St. Mary’s Parish. He is also a member of the Building and Grounds committee and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Mickey Lindenmickey

Mickey Linden is the morning Parish Secretary.  She is responsible for the daily office duties at St. Mary’s Parish and the recording of the sacraments.

She has been an employee of St. Mary’s since September, 2002.

Mary Ann Lochotzki is the afternoon Parish Secretary. She is responsible for the daily office duties at St. Mary’s Parish and preparation of the weekly bulletin.

Mary Ann and her husband Ed, have five children. She is a life-long member of St. Mary’s.

Shannon McCabe is the Special Events Coordinator for the Parish. She is responsible for hospitality and various other duties for parish activities as requested.
